About Us

The Wait With You Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing prolonged hospital stays during high-risk pregnancies and possible NICU journeys.

We provide thoughtfully assembled comfort kits and compassionate resources designed to bring dignity, warmth, and emotional support during some of the most isolating seasons of care.

Who does The Wait With You Foundation support?

We support individuals and families experiencing prolonged high-risk pregnancy hospitalizations, NICU journeys, pregnancy loss, and pediatric hospital stays through comfort, practical resources, and community support.

Where do your comfort kits go?

Our comfort kits are currently provided to patients experiencing extended antepartum hospital stays on Strong Memorial Hospital's Antepartum Unit (3-1200) in Rochester, NY. We also support families through our activity cart, Wellness Wednesdays, clothing drives, and other hospital-based initiatives. As we grow, we hope to expand to additional hospitals and care units.

What is included in a comfort kit?

Each comfort kit includes hospital-approved personal care items and thoughtful comforts designed to make a hospital room feel a little more like home during a prolonged stay. Items may include fuzzy socks, toiletries, lip balm, lotion, a blanket, an eye mask, and other comforting essentials.

Are comfort kits free for families?

Yes. All comfort kits, activity cart resources, and hospital support programs are provided free of charge through the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community partners.

How often are comfort kits delivered?

We deliver comfort kits and other requested resources to the hospital on a regular monthly basis, with additional deliveries made as needed based on patient census and hospital requests.

How are donations used?

Every donation directly supports our mission by funding comfort kits, activity cart supplies, Wellness Wednesdays, clothing drives, family resources, and other programs that bring comfort and support to families during prolonged hospital stays.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. The Wait With You Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Can I donate items instead of money?

Absolutely! We gladly accept new items through our Amazon Wishlist, community supply drives, and other approved donation opportunities. These items help stock our comfort kits, activity cart, and family support programs.

Do you accept clothing donations?

Yes! We accept new and gently used clothing for babies and children through our NICU, PICU & Pediatric Clothing Drive. We currently collect clothing from preemie through children's size 5T and partner with local businesses and community organizations to host donation drives throughout the year.

Do you partner with businesses or community organizations?

Yes! We love partnering with businesses, schools, gyms, churches, daycares, and community organizations. Partners can host donation drives, sponsor comfort kits or programs, volunteer, make in-kind donations, or support fundraising events.

Can I volunteer with The Wait With You Foundation?

Yes! While many of our volunteer opportunities are event- and project-based, we're always looking for passionate community members to get involved. Join our volunteer list to hear about upcoming opportunities.

How can I share my story?

We welcome stories from individuals and families who have experienced prolonged high-risk pregnancy hospitalizations, NICU journeys, pregnancy loss, or pediatric hospital stays. Why was The Wait With You Foundation created?

The Wait With You Foundation was created from lived experience and the belief that no one should face a prolonged hospital stay alone. Our mission is to provide comfort, connection, and practical support so families feel seen, supported, and cared for during some of life's most difficult moments.
